Everyone into the Pool! But Safely…

ThinkstockPhotos-467327992Consider this: Drowning is the second-leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for kids 14 and younger. According to goodhousekeeping.com, an unsupervised child can slip into a pool without a sound or a splash, and in less than two minutes underwater, the child can lose consciousness. Pool alarms can alert parents to emergencies before it’s too late. In fact, some states even have legislation requiring them.

Pool alarms detect disturbance in the water and alert the homeowner to a change in conditions, usually a buzzer or alarm that rings in the house. An audible alarm on the gate leading to the pool is another prudent investment. The investment in good pool safety is very modest when compared to the cost of the pool and ongoing maintenance. A text message or call from our monitoring center can be an additional level of protection.
